WildCharger pricing details emerge

Filed under: Cellphones, Portable AudioWildCharge has updated its website with more information about its pad-based wireless WildCharger solution. The company has revealed that adapters for the Motorola RAZR (which replaces the back cover) and the iPod nano (via a dock adapter) will set you back $34.99. The dock itself will be $59.99, meaning that it could cost you as much as $130 to wirelessly charge — assuming you own both an iPod and a RAZR — your phone and MP3 player. Still interested? If so, you should be able to pick up all three sometime this month.[Thanks, David; via Slippery Brick] Read | Permalink | Email this | CommentsOffice Depot Featured Gadget: Xbox 360 Platinum System Packs the power to bring games to life!

Haier creates Transformers-themed laptop, forgets to make it transform

Haier has created a Transformers themed notebook that on the surface could be pretty interesting for the most die-hard Transformers fans, but is really nothing more than a laptop with a big decal on the back — hey, at least it’s not a Decepticon. The specs are relatively good too, with the G70 notebook running on Intel’s PM965 chipset, and featuring a 1920 x 1200 pixel 17-inch display, 2GB of RAM, a 120GB Hard Disk, and a GeForce Go 7950GTX with 512MB of VRAM. Now all Haier needs to do is to get a shipment of these within life-giving distance of the Allspark: we can almost see the “Allspark contact” CTO option on our screen right now. Read | Permalink | Email this | CommentsOffice Depot Featured Gadget: Xbox 360 Platinum System Packs the power to bring games to life!

AT&T survey hints at iChat application for iPhone

AT&T recently sent out a round of surveys to iPhone users, asking people about their experiences using the phone in different contexts. One of the slides asks about EDGE performance, with one subsection asking how well users rate performance whilst using “iChat,” next to other features of the iPhone. Does this mean Apple is planning an iChat application, or did AT&T make a whoopsie? It’s certainly not beyond the realm of possibility that Apple is working on iChat for the iPhone, and IM is definitely an improvement that we’d welcome.[Via PhazerBlast] Read | Permalink | Email this | CommentsOffice Depot Featured Gadget: Xbox 360 Platinum System Packs the power to bring games to life!

SouthWest Airlines working on in-flight WiFi

A tipster sent us a recent corporate presentation at SouthWest Airlines that twice mentions that “Inflight wireless internet connectivity” is being looked at. Rather predictably for an airline, this is mentioned on a slide discussing future revenue opportunities — hey, dems airlines gotta get paid! — but at least they’re thinking about it, right? As such, we can probably expect the in-flight rates for said “wireless internet connectivity” to be equivalent to the altitude of the plane. We’ll know more as soon as SouthWest starts getting specific on the deets: when they do, we know which airline we’ll be booking the next time we have to fly internal.Continue reading SouthWest Airlines working on in-flight WiFi Permalink | Email this | CommentsOffice Depot Featured Gadget: Xbox 360 Platinum System Packs the power to bring games to life!
